1. The service
VATBridge is a Shopify application that captures buyer VAT numbers, validates them against the EU VIES registry, and generates compliant e-invoices. By installing the app, you agree to these terms.
2. Not tax or legal advice
VATBridge is software that automates validation and invoicing tasks. It is not tax, accounting, or legal advice. You remain responsible for your own tax compliance. Consult a qualified professional about your specific obligations. We do not guarantee that use of the app satisfies any particular legal mandate.
3. Third-party dependencies
Validation depends on the EU VIES service and invoice delivery depends on the Peppol network and our access-point provider. These are operated by third parties and may be unavailable at times. When VIES is unreachable, the app flags the order for retry rather than reporting a false result.
4. Plans & billing
Paid plans are billed through your Shopify invoice at the price shown at signup, following any free trial. You may cancel at any time; uninstalling the app ends the subscription.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use the app only for lawful business invoicing and not to submit fraudulent or knowingly incorrect data.
6. Limitation of liability
The app is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for losses arising from third-party service outages, incorrect data you provide, or reliance on the app in place of professional advice. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the prior three months.
7. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
